Whānau Voice Insight – Embed whānau centred, culturally safe care

Whānau consistently reported unmet needs, low confidence in services, and valuable measures and support systems that are often overlooked for both conditions (e.g. peer support, whānau involvement in care, need for whānau advocacy). The findings show that health conditions are experienced collectively, with impacts extending beyond the individual to affect whānau wellbeing through caregiving responsibilities and support for whānau to recover.
